Tides Turn for Two Stranded Sea Turtles

When stranded turtles are reported and transported to the Aquarium, Aquarium staff assess the animal and take measures to stabilize it, with the ultimate goal of rehabilitation and release. While odds of successful rehabilitation may be low, the Aquarium will continue these efforts to save endangered species, with the hope that even one saved turtle can help species recovery.

Rare Nazca Booby Receives Care At Oregon Coast Aquarium

When a Nazca Booby was found hunkered down on the docks of Newport’s historic bayfront, nearly 3,000 miles from its native range, OCAq aviculturists sprang into action. The bird is now at International Bird Rescue in Los Angeles, California for continued rehabilitation and eventual release.
