Dine with Moon Jellies at Oregon Coast Aquarium

Dine beside moon jellies at Oregon Coast Aquarium’s newly renovated Moon Jelly Café! Open daily from 11am-4pm, there are food and beverage options for big appetites and small bites alike.

Located just inside the Aquarium’s lobby, the Moon Jelly Café offers a queue with a view. Among the fresh furnishings, vibrant artwork, and guests munching their midday meals stands a massive acrylic cylinder full of drifting moon jellies. The largest is the size of a dinner plate, the smallest no bigger than a salt shaker; their pale forms catch the sunlight, scattering dazzling gleams along the walls. These boneless, brainless creatures cannot swim on their own, and drift within the gentle current, their hypnotic movements swayed by the water’s rhythm.

Here, we invite you to rest, rehydrate, and refuel.

This milestone marks the completion of the first phase of the Aquarium’s plans for improvement. We extend a special thanks to the donors who made this possible, including (but not limited to) MJ Murdock Trust, Ray Hickey Foundation, Robert Miller Family Holdings, Ann & Bill Swindells Trust, Oregon Community Foundation, and the Sunderland Foundation.
