Ever wonder what goes into the animal care here at the Aquarium? Husbandry staff are constantly monitoring and taking care of our animals, from freshly born baby bat rays to aging and geriatric pinnipeds. Check out below for information on our efforts here at the Aquarium, and their influence beyond.
An animal’s mental well-being is just as important as suitable housing, top-notch veterinary care, and the best food available. Aquarium staff meet this need by devising specialized items and experiences, called enrichment, that encourage natural behaviors and mimic challenges the animals might face in the wild.
Part of the care for our animals is helped by you! Donations, animal adoptions, donated enrichment items, and more all help to make a huge impact in our animals’ day to day lives.
