The Aquarium is currently fundraising for new X-ray equipment powerful enough to penetrate stranded sea turtles’ thick shells. This will greatly improve the quality of care provided to these marine animals. Donors who give $500 or more by July 15, 2026, will be invited for a special tour of the Marine Wildlife Center, getting a first-hand look at how we care for sea turtles and other endangered species.
Open as of fall 2026, the Sis-Xa Xwee-Nish Marine Wildlife Center expands the Aquarium’s capacity for providing critical care to injured, stranded, or endangered marine animals. The center allows staff to provide both immediate and long-term medical attention, giving vulnerable wildlife a second chance at survival.
