Oregon Coast Aquarium Hooks into Albacore Tuna for Fisheries Day

Newport, Oregon—The Oregon Coast Aquarium will celebrate albacore tuna for Fisheries Day on August 21. Games, craft projects and education programs designed to be fun for kids will be in The Sea & Me exhibit gallery. Orphan Snowy Plover Chicks and Adult Set for Release on Oregon Coast

Newport, Oregon – Five abandoned snowy plover chicks and a rehabilitated adult male are being released back to the wild by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and partners. Oregon Coast Aquarium Makes a Splash for Shark Conservation Week

Oregon Coast Aquarium Bids Farewell to Beloved Harbor Seal

Newport, Oregon— One of the Oregon Coast Aquarium’s Harbor seals was discovered unresponsive when staff arrived at the marine mammal holding facility on Wednesday, July 17. The seal was born at Point Defiance Zoo on July 15, 1979 and came to the Aquarium when it opened in 1992. Horned Puffins Stretch Their Wings at the Oregon Coast Aquarium

Newport, Oregon— A new species of the feathered kind debuted at the Oregon Coast Aquarium early Tuesday morning when three horned puffins waddled out of their carrier into the Seabird Aviary.
