Rescued Sea Turtles Depart For San Diego

The Oregon Coast Aquarium’s role in rehabilitating two stranded sea turtles was completed January 28 as the turtles were picked up in Newport by a C-130 Hercules plane from Coast Guard Air Station Sacramento, and flown to San Diego. “Myrtle” and “Maude” will then be transferred to the SeaWorld Turtle Rehabilitation Center where they will complete rehabilitation and ideally, be released back int... more

Angel Unites Rivals, Warms Hearts

A 13 year-old girl named Angel Wilson did something few can do; brought the Ducks and Beavers together. She can’t walk or talk, but her laughter united rival Oregon teams before the Civil War game. Ocean Literacy Is Goal For New Aquarium School Liaison

Chicago native Rachael Goetzelman has been chosen as the Oregon Coast Aquarium’s School Liaison Partnership Coordinator, a new position created to assist teachers with bringing marine science into their classrooms. Meet Ichabod And Olive, The Aquarium's New Turkey Vultures!

The Oregon Coast Aquarium introduced two 18 month-old turkey vultures to their new permanent home Friday morning.
