Treat Dad To Breakfast With The Sharks

Aquarium Prepares To Open Swampland

The Oregon Coast Aquarium is preparing to open its new changing exhibit, Swampland, Memorial Day weekend. The opening coincides with the beginning of summer hours for the Aquarium, 9 am – 6 pm. "Sea Unseen" Photography Exhibit Opens In Passages Of The Deep

Aquarium Is Saddened By Loss Of Bailey The Sea Lion

The Oregon Coast Aquarium announced that a young sea lion named Bailey died yesterday in an accidental drowning.Bailey and another sea lion, Maya, apparently worked loose a filtration drain cover in a temporary pool where the two were being kept during routine quarantine, and the suction from the drain kept Bailey from being able to surface for air. Aquarium Youth Volunteers Bring Storm Drain Art To Newport

Oregon Coast Aquarium youth volunteers partnered with the Surfrider Foundation to create a painting of a whale around a storm drain at the Nye Beach Turnaround in Newport. The “Storm Drain Art Project” intends to raise awareness about storm water and runoff pollution.
