Oregon Coast Aquarium Serves Up Black Friday Sale and Fun with Animals for Thanksgiving Weekend

Newport, Oregon—The Oregon Coast Aquarium will serve up a Black Friday sale in the Aquarium’s gift shop on the Friday and Saturday following the Thanksgiving holiday.

Select items will be discounted by as much as 70 percent. Customers that purchase $50 or more of merchandise will receive a complimentary holiday tree ornament while supplies last.

The Aquarium’s animal keeper staff will treat the animals to Thanksgiving themed enrichment items that will provide entertainment for animals and visitors alike. These enrichment objects include turkey-shaped fish-filled ice treats for the Aquarium’s seabirds and marine mammals and a “Mr. Potato Head” with fish inside for the resident giant Pacific octopuses.

Visitors will be able to swim in the exhibits, kiss a sea lion or explore behind the scenes on Saturday and Sunday over the Thanksgiving weekend. Giant Pacific octopus encounters will be available on Thanksgiving and Saturday and the Guest Snorkel Program will be available on Friday.
