Oregon Coast Aquarium Launches the Ferry Slip Café

Newport, Oregon— Next time your stomach starts to growl from watching the Oregon Coast Aquarium’s sea otters, puffins, seals and sea lions enjoy restaurant quality seafood, you will not need to wander far to satisfy your appetite.

The Ferry Slip Café opened at the Aquarium this May to offer a variety of tasty options for Aquarium visitors and the public to enjoy. Purchasing Aquarium admission is not necessary to dine at the Café and all entrées are offered for less than $9. The Café’s doors are open every day from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The Café also offers customized catering service with nearly 150 menu items for guests to choose from for special events at the Aquarium.

Local restaurateur and former owner of Quimby’s Restaurant, Mike Downing, is managing the new Ferry Slip Café and the Aquarium’s catering, as the Food and Beverage Director and Executive Chef. Downing said, “I am thrilled to bring quality and affordable food to enhance eating options for both Aquarium visitors and the South Beach community.”
