June 22, 2011

The Oregon Coast Aquarium is preparing for its annual fundraiser Saturday, September 17, 2011 from 6 – 9 pm. The 4th annual Jellyfish Jubilee; A Celebration of Food and Wine will fill the Aquarium with the aromas, tastes and sounds of exceptional Northwest cuisine, wines, live music and a silent auction benefiting the Aquarium’s animal care, exhibits and education programs. This year’s event will be more exciting than ever, with elaborate staging to create a fun and festive atmosphere.

The all-inclusive event includes the area’s finest culinary establishments, regional wineries offering their most tempting specialties and decadent desserts in a feast for all the senses, celebrating the bounty of the great Pacific Northwest. The music will be lively Caribbean steel drums played by Terry Baber, “Northwest Panman,” who plays Calypso, Jimmy Buffett, Bob Marley and more.

“This is the most beautiful time of year on the coast,” said Carrie Lewis, Aquarium President and CEO. “The Jellyfish Jubilee is an opportunity to see the Aquarium in a different setting while enjoying a summer evening with extraordinary food and exquisite wine.”
