Creatures Of The Night To Creep Back To The Aquarium
After a one-year hiatus, the Oregon Coast Aquarium’s annual Halloween event, “Creatures of the Night,” will creep back into the Aquarium with a slightly different format. There will be a gentler event during the day for younger goblins during “Creatures of the Day,” with face painting, games and candy from 10 am – 4 pm. The Aquarium will then close its doors from 4 to 6:30 pm and quietly mutate into an ominous landscape with haunted caves and foggy courtyards summoning the more fearless ghouls for the annual soiree of the sinister, “Creatures of the Night” from 6:30 to 8:30 pm Saturday, October 30.
The event, which will collect food and money for Food Share of Lincoln County and the Lincoln County Animal Shelter, offers reduced admission with a donation of two items of non-perishable food. “We invite families to enjoy a day and evening of celebration with the goal to help replenish the food pantry at our local Food Share,” said Kandy Smith, Aquarium Events Manager. “Times are difficult for many families and we’d like to ask everyone to be extra generous in their food donations this year.”
