Join us at the Turkey Vulture Habitat to take a look at these misunderstood animals in a new light. Every day at 1:30p.m., aviculture staff and interns discuss turkey vultures’ important role as scavengers in coastal ecosystems and fun facts about the exhibit’s sibling residents, Olive and Ichabod. Each presentation is different, depending on the birds’ schedule, and includes an informal talk with a question and answer session. Occasionally, lucky visitors will enjoy an opportunity to see these birds, that are usually spotted soaring high in the air, up close perched on an aviculturist’s arm.
