We strive to create memorable experiences for learners of all ages.  Whether bringing your family for a visit or scheduling a field trip for your school, we have the experience you’re looking for. Get a kiss from a seal or sea lion or sleep with the sharks without getting wet. An on-site school program with your students will make marine science come alive on your field trip. If you are unable to come to us, our outreach education programs will come to you!  Aquarium programs and supporting materials address Ocean Literacy Principles as well as national and Oregon science standards for learning. Our education opportunities will also include the exciting web-based program, the Oceanscape Network.

Plunge into the underwater world of marine science today with one of our many hands-on educational opportunities!

We offer grade-appropriate programs aligned to state and national standards as well as to the national Ocean Literacy principles.

Outreach programs are assembly-style productions full of energy and fun. These presentations feature audience participation, costumes, animal biofacts and life-sized inflatable animals.

The Oceanscape Network is a web-based educational program designed to connect preteens and teens to science, nature and outdoor experiences using technology as the catalyst.

All of our education materials have been aligned with the Oregon Department of Education and the national education common curriculum goals.

What teachers say about us?

“Oregon Coast Aquarium’s Oceanscape Network participated as virtual explorers on my last deep-sea research cruise, producing a beautiful poster and superb videos that managed to be both entertaining and educational. This is a wonderful way to make the deep sea accessible to the general public, and I hope to continue our collaboration in the future.”
Dr. Tamara Frank – Halmos College of Natural Sciences and Oceanography, Nova Southeastern University
My 5th grade students love it when the Oregon Coast Aquarium brings its outreach program to Baker City! It is great that those of us who live so far from the ocean can get a little "hands on" with some sea life.
Merrie Hensley – 5th Grade Teacher – Baker City, OR
